This years Strongman Corporation Alaska State Championships will be held July 28th in Delta Junction, hosted my Mr Wayne Martin!

AWARDS: 1ST -3RD Medals (dependent on number of athletes) – This competition is an NAS Level Two event. The top 2 placing in each Open Division Class will qualify for the NAS National Championships.
ENTRY FEE: $75.00 ENTRY DEADLINE: Must be received by July 15th, 2018. Late entry fee will be $100.
Car Deadlift Hold for time: On the command “GO”, athletes will stand erect with hips and legs locked in the up position. Once this position is achieved; time will start. Time will end when the deadlift apparatus comes into contact with the ground. Equipment Allowed: Elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, knee wraps, belts, chalk and wrist straps only.
Axel Press for reps: : On the command “GO”, athletes will clean the bar to chest and then press for as many repetitions as possible within a 60 second time limit. A good repetition is achieved once the knee, hips and elbows are in the locked position with the head through. Judge will give a “DOWN” signal after a good repetition is completed. Equipment Allowed: Elbow and knee sleeves, wrist wraps, belt, chalk and knee wraps.
Tire Flip to Farmers Walk for time / distance: 60 sec time limit, athlete may start with hands under the tire. On the command “GO”, athletes will flip the tire end over end for 50’ to the transition line. Then, athletes will secure the farmers walk handles and carry back to the start line. Drops are allowed, sliding the implement will result in stopping the event. Distance measured if the athlete is unable to complete the 100’ in 60 sec. Equipment Allowed: belt, knee wraps, knee and elbow sleeves, chalk and wrist wraps.
Keg Toss for time: 60 sec time limit, athletes will start with one hand on the upright. On the command “GO”, athletes will move to and secure the first keg in the series and attempt to throw over a 12’ cross bar. Athletes will continue through the series from lightest to heaviest keg. Athletes must throw from the lightest to heaviest keg in order and cannot proceed to a heavier keg until the prior keg is over the crossbar. Partial times will be recorded. Equipment Allowed: belt, knee wraps, knee and elbow sleeves, chalk and wrist wraps.
Natural Stone Load for heaviest stone: Athletes will have 5 attempts (30sec per attempt) to load a natural stone onto a platform. Athlete may start with hands on the stone, on the command “GO”, athletes will have 30 sec to load the stone onto the platform. Athletes will have up to 30 stones to choose from ranging from 100 to 400+ pounds. An athlete cannot go down in weight once a stone is chosen. Once a stone is missed, the athlete must attempt and load that stone before proceeding to a heavier stone. If any athlete loads the “DELTA STONE” that athletes name will engraved onto the stone and the stone will remain at the Delta Fairgrounds for future competitors to see. Equipment Allowed: belt, knee wraps, knee and elbow sleeves, chalk, wrist wraps, tacky and grip shirts.
